Description

Volunteers will have the opportunity to continue the work carried out by the volunteers during their stay in 2024, for example: - Educational support for children in local schools, community centers and after-school clubs; - Organization of initiatives and meetings for community members on Health Education; - Organization of trainings for community members on climate change, sustainable living practices and environmental conservation; - Environmental conservation activities around the area of Makoko, such as planting trees, cleaning waterways and paths and removing invasive species; - Realization of articles and brochures and other advocacy activities to raise awareness around the problems affecting the community and to promote policy changes.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accomodation, food and transport are included. A monthly alloance will be transfered to the volunteer (based on a daily rate of 32 Euros per day)

Training during the activity

On arrival or during deployment trainings, multiple non-formal education opportunities during the volunteering period

Participant profile

- Citizens aged 18-35 from one of the 27 EU member countries or citizens legally residing in one of the countries associated with the program (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Turkey and the Republic of North Macedonia). - Volunteers should be motivated and willing to adapt to the new culture, new food and environment, and to follow the guidelines that they will receive. - Important notice: you must have completed both the online and in-person Humanitarian Aid Training organised by the EACEA before applying.
