Application on this system will not be considered !!! | LOGO Jugendmanagement serves as the lead coordinating organization for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) projects in the Styria region of southeastern Austria. We collaborate with five alternative private schools, which host ESC volunteers for an entire school year: Freie Waldorf Schule, Projektschule, Schule im Pfeifferhof, Reform-Pedagogical School "Sonnenhaus", Private School Vulkanschule. Volunteers are expected to support teachers, assist children and enhance school activities with their contributions, especially related to their home culture. There are many ways to get involved, including arts, sports, music, dance, theatre, and outdoor activities. Volunteers are encouraged to lead cultural projects, such as teaching songs in their native language or cooking traditional meals.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Schools will provide the selected volunteer with accommodation at shared flats. Transportation options include public transportation in the region, with the organization covering the cost of the transportation ticket. The locations are conveniently accessible by busses and / or trains. Moreover, volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance of €300 and a monthly pocket money of €210.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will benefit from essential training during their placement. LOGO jugendmanagement will arrange for On Arrival Training and Mid-Term Training, both organized by the Austrian National Agency. Additionally, volunteers will have the opportunity to attend a German language course.

Some knowledge of pedagogy or social work is beneficial. A willingness to learn German is essential. Volunteers will have the opportunity to collaborate on a range of creative and educational projects, contributing to the school community while learning by doing.
