Description
The aim of this project is to promote cultural exchanges between the volunteer and our public, especially young people of the cultural centre of ST JO in Nantes. The centre is run by ACCOORD, a popular education association which organises educational, social and cultural activities for the inhabitants of their areas of work. The following activities will be proposed: Participate in the sociocultural entertainment project of the centre - Sharing your experience of mobility with young people to encourage them to discover other cultures - Contibute to the reflexion and creation of creative workshops with the rest of the team, adressed to the families and senior citizens - Creation of actions and workshops linked to your own culture - And more. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
An apartment is available for volunteers in shared accommodation. The other housemate will also be a volunteer in another of the Accoord's cultural centres. A food and pocket money allowance will be granted each month. A public transport card for Nantes is also included. The activity place will be at the cultural centre ST JO, which is dedicated to the youth and other public. We organize a lot of cultural events there. The volunteer will have all the necesssary tools needed to realize all the tasks and activities.
Training during the activity
Overall, the volunteer will develop personal and professional competences with us and with the partners in the territory with whom we often work. An arrival training a will be included and will take place with other volunteers from all over France. The volunteer will have the opportunity to attend trainings run by ACCOORD or the Maison de l'Europe à Nantes (the coordinating organisation) .
Participant profile
We're looking for a motivated, outgoing and enthusiastic person for whom interculturality, solidarity and European citizenship and culture are important. Someone The desire to work with children, teenagers, young adults ans seniors is essential. The willingness to engage with ALL types of audience is also very important. We're looking for someone who is open-minded and who enjoys working in a team. If you share our values, enjoy engaging with people, love designing games, leading activities, and bringing your own ideas to life, this opportunity is perfect for you. Attention : Ther is no english speaker in the center, some french notion can be appreciated.
