Team volunteering for the defense of human rights in Madrid

We are looking for one person to complete the team of 10 volunteers who will come to our headquarters in Madrid! For two months the team will be involved in the work of Alianza around the concept of responsibility that companies have to comply with human rights, known as due diligence, in the national and European framework. The team will design and implement a series of awareness actions designed by them to raise awareness of the term 'due diligence' and the current context at national and European level. To do so, volunteers will be trained in: 1) the concept of 'due diligence' (what it is and what it consists of) in a practical and theoretical way; 2) design and implement campaigns and social actions; 3) elaboration of communicative products. At the end of your experience, you will have acquired skills on the functioning of an NGO, you will be able to design social awareness campaigns from planning to evaluation and you will become a key player in corporate due diligence advocacy.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
You will have the opportunity to live together with other volunteers of different nationalities in a shared flat of 6 or 4 people in the centre of Madrid. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the hosting organization and free Wi-fi will be provided. You will receive a monthly pocket money (180€) for your personal expenses and food (200€) and local transport allowance. You will also have health insurance (Henner).
Formação durante a atividade
The volunteer will receive training which will cover topics such as: welcome to Alianza por la Solidaridad, welcome to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities of the organization and volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance, motivations, cultural immersion, etc. More specifically, related to the work to be developed, you will receive training on due diligence and human rights, raising-awareness campaigns and communication tools. In case language support is needed, the volunteer will have free access to online language training (OLS).
Perfil do participante
In Alianza we are looking for a friendly, curious, committed person, and keen to meet knew people, socialise and experience a different culture. Motivation to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment and to strengthen values such as solidarity. Interest in environmental protection, in human rights in eradicating poverty and sustainability. If you are migrant, if you live in rural areas, if you have limited economic support or any other context don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone! The work will be done in Spanish, so knowledge and command of Spanish will be an asset
