Description
Volunteers' activities will be mostly manual work on fresh air, so be prepared for a hard work ;). The main tasks will be gardening, forestry, cleaning and maintenance works in a historic park (including mowing, weeding, transplanting, prunning, raking and collecting hay, sawing wood, chopping firewood, collecting deadwood, laying wood etc), renovating and painting small architecture and similar if necessary. During the project you will take care of the park, its plants and facilities. After the flood in 2024 there are some renovation works needed in the park, your help will be appreciated. There might be also a possibility to take part or organise the short workshops for locals and other cultural events organised by the Foundation Benevolens in the Artist's House. Volunteers will be working about 6 hours per day, five days per week.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You want to feel like a scout? Sit by the campfire and sing? Come to us! You will sleep on sleeping mats in the tents on the meadow by the Artist's House. You will have access to wc and warm showers in the nearby building. The open fire place will be to volunteers’ disposal. You need to take your sleeping bags and towels, house shoes are highly recommended. All the meals will be provided by Benevolens Foundation, either on place, either in nearby restaurant/bar.
Participant profile
We are looking for passionate nature and cultural heritage lovers, interested in landscape protection, history and culture. Those who love to spend the time with the nature. You also have to be moderately fit, like to get to know/do gardening and forestry works. We are looking for people who want to work in the group of international individuals and get the feeling of the big family. In your application we would like to see that you are motivated to the care of the place where people like to come back and the reason you chose our project.
