Medicos del Mundo

Médecins du Monde Tunisie

Tunis, Tunesien

Beschreibung

In Tunisia, Médecins du Monde-Belgium's projects are aimed at all people who have no, or no longer any, access to healthcare. In particular, they are structured around five areas: people on the margins of society (homeless people, undocumented migrants, drug users, sex workers, etc.); children in vulnerable situations; women (supported in their fight for equality or against gender-based violence, for example); migrant or displaced people and victims of crises or conflicts. Our projects focus on migration health and rights, harm reduction, sexual and reproductive health and rights and, more recently, environmental health using a One Health approach. Partnerships and advocacy are at the heart of our intervention strategy, and we pay particular and cross-cutting attention to primary healthcare, mental health and psychosocial support. Although the political, economic and social context in Tunisia has been unstable since 2011, the security situation remains stable in the country.

MdMBE will do its utmost to provide volunteers with good housing conditions. Volunteers will receive monthly per diems of 534€ to cover their meals and other basic expenses.
