Volunteers will work full-time (between 30 and 38 hours per week) and will have two days off per week. They will help with: - Implementation of workshops and educational activities for minors of the territory, including computer laboratories and English courses; - Creation of a life skill and creativity manual, children’s wall magazines and articles; - Reform and strengthen the children's clubs in community schools to promote extra-curricular activities and increase access to life skills learning opportunities; - Organization of parenting education workshops to foster awareness on positive parenting practices and reduce cases of violence against children; - Strengthen the partnership with local government (wards, Municipalities), schools and parents for child protection in local community.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Food and accommodation will be provided by the local association. Volunteers will be housed at the Community learning centre CLC in Okhaldhungha. The accommodation offers amenities such as kitchen, shared living rooms and comfortable bunk beds. Volunteers will be in charge of their own fruits requirement according to their needs. VIN arranges airport pick up service from from the Tribhuvan International Airport to each volunteer and brings them to the hostel. After am induction process, volunteers will get to the community in Okhaldhungha which is 250 km away 7-8hrs approx. jeep ride.

Who can apply: Citizens aged 18-35 from one of the 27 EU member countries or citizens legally residing in one of the countries associated with the program (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Turkey and the Republic of North Macedonia). Volunteers should be motivated and willing to adapt to the new culture, new food and environment, and to follow the safety guidelines that they will receive. Important notice: you must have completed both the online and in-person Humanitarian Aid Training organised by the EACEA before applying. Specific requirements: 1. Volunteers should have a genuine passion for the overall development of children, particularly in the early stages; 2. Effective teaching skills, creating engaging and age-appropriate educational activities, workshop and trainings; 3. Be culturally sensitive and respectful, understanding and embracing the local customs and traditions of Nepal; 4. Can sustain in low living standard and adapt to diverse situations; 5. Work collaboratively with local communities and volunteers; 6. Adaptability to diverse situations, coupled with creative problem-solving skills, to address challenges in child development and teaching. 7. Good command over written and spoken English.
