Join Serve the City Belgium (STC) as a Volunteer Ambassador and help us promote volunteering! STC is a global volunteering movement that creates meaningful opportunities to get involved and support our communities. As a Volunteer Ambassador, you would play a vital role in our work, assisting with tasks such as: - Creating of content for different platforms on the benefits of volunteering, local and international volunteering opportunities; - Participating in a variety of volunteering projects; - Creating content for social media and web about the ESC and other volunteering programmes; - Promoting volunteering at internal and external events (e.g. student fairs, conferences, etc.)... This volunteering opportunity is perfect for anyone who is passionate about helping others and making a difference in their community. You will learn about the challenges of active participation and citizen engament, especially focussed on a young public.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

STC will support the volunteer in finding an accomodation in Brussels, and tranferred monthly the budget for lodging to the volunteer. Volunteers will manage their food with the money allocated in the programme. STC will cover the costs of transport. Volunteers will receive a MOBIB card loaded with a public transport tickets for the duration of their stay. The card can be used for both volunteering and private private travel.

Participant profile

We are looking for a highly motivated young person that would like to learn how we can make a difference in our local communities through volunteering. Ideally, this person will be values-driven, solution-oriented, open-minded, autonomous and with a good level of French. We would love to have the support of someone that enjoys leadership as much as teamwork, and that defines themselves as a hands-on person, wishing to learn about the situation on the ground. Although not a compulsory requirement, it will be convenient if the participant has a driving license valid in Belgium and speaks intermediate Dutch.
