Stowarzyszenie Jeden Świat is an NGO promoting peace and multicultural dialogue. We have many partnerships with Polish NGOs, who help us run short volunteering camps. One of the camps this summer will be organised in cooperation with Multi.Art - culture association and Tarasin Art Gallery from Kalisz (northern Poland), involved in a number of initiatives for youth. One of them is “Summer in the theatre” – a nationwide program promoting theatrical education. Modern times are full of challenges for young people: war, pandemic, climate crisis - these all affect their emotions and perception of reality. Inspired by the context of the laboratory, youth (11-15 yo) will explore, analyze and experiment with emotions using artistic and theatrical methods. The volunteers will support professional artists and educators in organizing the activities for youth. They will also participate in those by themself.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Volunteers will sleep in dorms, in shared rooms. Lunch will be provided. The rest of the meals will be prepared by volunteers (money to buy ingredients will be provided by the hosting organisation). The expenses related to travel will be reimbursed. Candidates who require a visa will be supported during the process.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Participants will be expected to take part in all of the activities, along with the youth. Additionally, they will be supporting local supervisors and educators on a daily basis. Volunteers are welcome to put forward any ideas, initiatives or improvements that they may have.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for a participant interested in working with youth. The ideal candidate will have some experience in international projects and cross-cultural communication as well as skills related to preparing workshops and fun activities for children. Creativity, openness and the ability to work in a team are a must. Interest in theatre and art will be an asset.
