The Maison de la Jeunesse (Youth) et de la Culture (MJC) of L'Aigle (Normandy) is an association that promotes access to culture for all. We have been welcoming Europeans Volunteers for 11 years (11 months mission each), and this will be the second Group Project that we hold. This Group Volunteering Project will be held from the 8th of June until the 22th of June, with two main themes : Rural Interculturality and Musical Fesitval Involvement. You will be able to enjoy activities from the whole county, share and help organized events with local inhabitants. You will also be able to fully join a big volunteering team on the Biches Music Festival. Then with our association, you will be able to get into our radio stuff, even participate to it and also into our healthy sport stuff (with our physical trainer, a whole day around sport and healthy activities). Alongside the whole group project, you will live and share time together, which is the main idea of Europe? Meet, Share and Enjoy.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
While in the city, you will be sleeping in a rugby stadium. It's a whole complex with two separated dorms (one female, on male), a big shared living room with a bar, a kitchen and a patio. Located in nature, close to a forest the place is very nature free and open. While in the festival, you will be in full camping mode with all the others volunteers on the festival. We can provide you the matresses, but not the blankets so please DO NOT FORGET YOUR SHEETS / BLANKETS.

You will participate to : - Icebreaker games & creation of the rules of life - A presentation of the schedule - A quick initiation to radio animation and technique - A « throwing boots » contest - Interculturals evening (cooking, games and activites around Europe) - Several times to discover the territory - A whole day about sport, with a lot of stands The « Biches Festival » will be held from the 13th of june till the 15th of June. Because we will have time to do other things you might want to attend, we will have to decide where to put your days off.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
Most of all, we are looking for motivated people, who want to learn new things, create, try it and share new perspectives. Camping experience may be something valuable. Speaking basic French will obviously help you and could be something we value the all the profiles we will have. Because you will live together for 2 weeks, communication and organisation skills will be promoted. You shall have a certain degree of sensibility to promote cultural awareness, even more for people who has limited access to it. IMPORTANT : Because of the small amount of time before the project, we want you to ALREADY HAVE A SENDING ORGANIZATION from your country, so the paperwork can be done in time.
