Volunteering in kindergarden "Wasserfrösche" in Leipzig

Internationaler Bund - IB Mitte gGmbH für Bildung und Soziale Dienste Niederlassung Sachsen

Leipzig, Deutschland

Beschreibung

Our kindergarden ‘Die Wasserfrösche’ is located in the Leipzig-Eutritzsch district and offers around 100 children aged 1 to 6 a nice and protected space to play, learn and grow. We are an independent facility run by the Internationaler Bund (IB) - one of the largest independent organisations for youth, social and educational work in Germany. Our daycare centre is open from Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. We base our day-to-day teaching on the interests, needs and living environments of the children and work according to our Kneipp-based concept. We attach great importance to participation, diversity and closeness to nature. Our spacious garden, creative educational programmes and inclusive work enables all children to have holistic experiences and plenty of outdoor exercise. What makes our daycare centre special: a committed, reliable team, nature-based projects and excursions, intercultural and inclusive work, open doors for new ideas, languages and cultures

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

Our organization offers to the volunteer the possibility to take part in a language course, according to their current level of German. All participants must participate in two mandatory ESC seminars during their project: On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training. These are opportunities to meet volunteers from other countries, gain understanding of the EU values and reflect on the ongoing project. The volunteers will also get to know other volunteers from Leipzig.
