Description
You will gain insights from the development and implementation of communication strategies at the organizational level to enhance external communication: support the coordination of media events, interviews and press conferences, development of multimedia content, support in social media management. Support in raising awareness and implementing communication guidelines at the organizational level to strengthen internal and external communication: support the creation of engaging content for various communication channels, etc. You will gain knowledge and expertise in preparing, facilitating, and monitoring communication guidelines and plans at the project/community level. Compliance with communication and branding guidelines. Communication and awareness on ESC Volunteers project.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (only if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered. A monthly Subsistence Lump Sum will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and personal hygiene items.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will receive training and capacity building on gender equality, gender transformative approaches, protection mainstreaming, safeguarding, safe data collection and analysis in project programming. Additional field-level mentoring on participatory gender analysis, community consultations, and drafting Gender Action Plans will be provided to ensure capacity to support technical teams in Cotabato, Siargao, and Zamboanga, subject to security clearances.
Participant profile
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Development, Communications, Social Sciences, Marketing, or related fields. English C1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, simplifying complex information, proficient in photography, social media, content creation, story-telling, and basic graphic design. Demonstrated proficiency in crafting compelling narratives, utilizing multimedia tools, and managing social media platforms. Passion for addressing humanitarian issues and contributing to impactful storytelling of cross-cutting themes. Eligibility: Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
