Organization´s "ATBALSTS ĢIMENĒM" main goal is to support and inspire projects that help improve life in rural community in the region of Ērģeme — for families, children, and especially young people. This is a call for short term Individual Volunteering project, we are looking for 2 volunteers from EU, who are interested to support teachers at Ērģeme Primary School and kindergarten, organize creative events and workshops for children, teens, and adults, contribute to a long-term project - renovation of the Community House, help organize events, workshops, celebrations etc. Project duration: 1,5 month, start ASAP. Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Organization Atbalsts Gimenem will provide accommodation for the volunteers in an independent tiny house in the county estate ¨Ausmas¨ or in one of the rooms in the guest house. The house is shared. The bedroom has heating for the winter, it is fully furnished and has towels, blankets, bedsheets. Volunteers will have access to WiFi in the main building. There's an outdoor bathroom and shower next to the tiny house, indoor facilities are available in the main guest house. The kitchen is shared, and meals are usually prepared together in the communal space. There is a local bus to the village.
Formação durante a atividade
The host entity offers necessary preparation for the performance of all tasks to prevent risks that the activities may cause. The team of the association will support volunteers in the period of adaptation in intercultural environment and facilitate translation when needed. Monitoring and preparation of volunteers by tutors or responsible for the activities will be offered. Volunteers recieve formation in arrival meeting organized by National Agency.
Perfil do participante
Between 18 and 30 years old. Two volunteers who are interested and willing to participate in carrying out different activities in small village. People with motivation and initiative, regardless of the experience, gender or socio-economic situation of the person, with the eagerness to learn, and giving them a space not only to develop the current proposed activities, but also to create their own microprojects. It is essential for the volunteer to have a passion to work with different goups, of people, including children, and interest in life in small community in rural area.
