Coordinadora Infantil y Juvenil de Tiempo Libre de Vallecas is a nonprofit association working with children and youth at risk of social exclusion in Vallecas district and Ciudad Lineal, in the south-east of Madrid, Spain. Coordinadora manages the project Europa Joven Madrid, a service from the youth department of Madrid’s city hall based in Chamberí youth center. Europa Joven Madrid organises European activities, informative session, training for volunteers and events addressed to young people. The tasks will be related to support the daily work of Europa Joven Madrid, organising informative sessions, language workshops, youth information events and creating content for social media. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will live in a shared flat with other volunteers or with locals in Madrid. This will be arranged by the organization unless the volunteer prefers to organize it by himself/herself/themselves. Volunteer will receive a food allowance, pocket money, money for the monthly transportation card and the accommodation money. Everything will be provided at the beginning of the month by check or bank transfer.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will attend the two trainings offered by the National Agency: On Arrival Training and Midterm Evaluation. Volunteers will attend other training courses offered by the hosting organization for the development of their volunteering experience.
Participant profile
We are looking for a highly motivated person, interested in administrative tasks, social media and with initiative to develop activities/workshops with youngsters and informative sessions about european mobility in high schools and universities. Spanish knowledge is welcome but not necessary.
