In the Makerspace, the volunteer will have the opportunity to learn skills in the field of new technologies and develop creative activities for young people. He/she will accompany and support the team on site for the daily activities as well as for the workshops. He/she may also use the space to carry out a personal project (alone or with others). The volunteer can be specialized in any field of ICT, such as programming, robotics or 3D design (non-exhaustive list). The Makerspace is equipped with machines, equipment and tools that can be used by the volunteer on a daily basis and that he/she will learn to use: hand tools, computers, soldering irons, robots, 3-D printers, a laser cutting machine and much more. The Makerspace is aimed at a young audience, including primary schools, day care centers, high schools, youth structures but also young adults.

Accommodation in a students house (fully equipped and furnished) where other volunteers are also housed. - Kitchen available for cooking in the accommodation. In the building of the workplace there is a large canteen and a snacks bar where one can get food. There are also many places to eat in the area. - There is an access to public transport between the accommodation and the workplace and public transport is free in Luxembourg. There is also the possibility to share a car with the other volunteers.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteer has the opportunity to further his/her education throughout the voluntary service. He/she will take language courses (Luxembourgish, German or French as the Makerspace is multicultural) but other trainings are also possible. A first aid course that everyone who works with us should do is also planned in the trainings. In addition, further trainings are held regularly to learn the subject matter of the workshops. These are led by the trainers who work in the Makerspace. The volunteer is always accompanied by coaches and does not need to lead a workshop alone.
