The Kaunas Municipal Vincas Kudirka Public Library, established in 1925, is a cornerstone of cultural and educational life in Kaunas, Lithuania's second-largest city. As one of the oldest municipal public libraries in the country, it has a rich history of serving the community. Our library, which now includes five functional departments and 20 branch libraries across the city, is dedicated to promoting literacy, lifelong learning, and cultural engagement. We serve a diverse target group, including students, researchers, local residents, and visitors of all ages. Our values are rooted in accessibility, inclusivity, and community enrichment. We strive to create an open and welcoming environment where everyone can access a wealth of information, participate in cultural events, and engage in educational opportunities.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteer will receive free accommodation during their stay and a private room in a shared apartment. You will have a monthly ticket for public transportation and monthly food and pocket money (280 euros/month). * If needed, we can provide support and provide food products.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
- Volunteering group meetings once a month; - Meeting with a mentor once a month; - On-arrival and mid-term training; - Online language learning; - Participating in public solidarity events; - Organization of info/promo solidarity events.
