Mariaberg e.V. is a diaconal social service institution located in the south of Germany. Our facility offers different services for people of all ages, from early childhood to senior citizens, who suffer from disabilities and social deprivation. By launching this project, we want to contribute to a European community of values, strengthen the cohesion and promote the consolidation of Europe. Participating in our project, volunteers can enhance their language and social skills, gain hands-on experience abroad, strengthen their self-reliance and self-confidence and experience inclusion by working with people with disabilities. We are looking for volunteers who wants to join the following departments: - open and integrative youth work - school for children with mental and physical disabilities
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
- Accommodation: comfortable, fully equipped shared flat in the city of Gammertingen or Mariaberg - Food: the reference value for food of 313€ per month (acc.to ESC guidelines) will be provided - Transport: a monthly ticket for the public transportation will be provided as well as a bike for free use - Pocket Money: 7€ per day (acc. to ESC guidelines) will be provided - Additional: cost of water, electricity, internet, etc.) will be covered by the hosting organization with a limit of 100 € per month as well as shampoo, toilet paper, cleaning products, etc

You will take part at the seminars organised by the National agencies (one in your home country before departure, one shortly after arrival and one at the end of your volunteering activity. Also, you have the possibility to join an online language course and special trainings for your working field, if required.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
- Ability to carry out tasks highly responsibly and motivated - Aged between 18 and 30 years and legally residing in one of the participating countries of the ESC - a great interest in learning German and to integrate in the local community - A certain autonomy for getting along in a foreign country - Open-mindedness and tolerance. In this context, it is also important to mention that participants should not be afraid of people with disabilities and have outstanding skills in social interaction
