Description We are really happy to welcome you into our organisation: Don Bosco Youthnet Nederland, located at the Don Bosco Centre in Assel, a peaceful place surrounded by forests and full of youth spirit. Through this project, you will: • Support local youth camps/trainings/youth exchanges and educational activities • Help in ecological maintenance and community tasks • Take part in the local youth work and intercultural exchanges and reflection moments • Be part of a warm international community of volunteers and leaders It’s an opportunity to grow, contribute, and enjoy the summer in one of the greenest parts of the Netherlands.
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
You will stay in single rooms with shared bathrooms in the Don Bosco piramid building, part of the Assel venue. You’ll be living in the Veluwe, the green heart of the Netherlands, pure forests, fresh air, and natural beauty. Watch a short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIcOprePEI0 The shared dinners will be organized with the local community. For other meals, volunteers cook together or shop for themselves. Laundry facilities are available. A driver licence B is a requirement because the venue is not accessible with public transport.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
You are an integral part of daily life at Don Bosco Assel and in the Don Bosco Youth Centre in Apeldoorn. Your involvement includes: - Helping with logistics: preparing spaces before activities, cleaning after, and ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming - Organizing and running youth activities, such as: Educational playtime for children, Cooking workshops, Language support through games, Sports for adults with disabilities, Gardening and handcrafts for elderly •Developing your own ideas for new workshops or events, supported by professionals and volunteers
Profil uczestnika
This is a unique opportunity to explore and practice your pedagogical and didactic skills in real-life settings. Every day is different! What qualities are we looking for? · Willing to learn and try new things. · Interested in helping others and working with young people. · Passionate about the environment and promoting green initiatives. · Ready to work in a multicultural team and open to different cultures. · Friendly, empathetic, and eager to connect with others. Do you need experience? No! If you’ve done volunteering or worked with young people before, that’s great, but it’s not required. What matters most is your willingness to learn and grow. You should have basic English skills and be open to improving them during the project. A driver licence B is a requirement because the venue is not accessible with public transport.
