Description

Support and collaborate in the formulation of development and education projects for public and private entities, contributing innovative ideas and effective solutions to promote sustainable development and the well-being of families in Guatemala. Support the coordination of technical and administrative tasks carried out by the Project Unit. Activities: - Assist in the preparation of project proposals. - Support the research and analysis of local needs. - Collaborate in the search for and identification of funding sources. - Assist in the preparation of events specific to the unit. - Follow up on administrative controls as instructed. - Support the scheduling of meetings for the project unit. - Attend project unit meetings. - Assist in monitoring project schedules and goals. - Follow up on the collection of information and organisation of narrative or financial reports. - Support the drafting or translation of official documents.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Round-trip expenses to and from the country, visa expenses, vaccines, and accommodation maintenance. Allowance for personal expenses. Other support services, such as training and language support Support throughout the volunteering period by the hosting and sending organisation Volunteers' working hours will be 35 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The working hours for the international volunteer will be 35 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The working days of the week will be established based on the assigned coordinator's working hours.

Training during the activity

Learning opportunities: those selected will receive prior online training and face-to-face training before their trip. Training will also be offered during the deployment to improve volunteers' skills and competencies. Induction will take place at the central offices, and then you will travel to the region where volunteer support is required.

Participant profile

Professional or student in International Relations, International Cooperation, Political Science, Project Management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting applications such as Google Meet and Zoom. Positive and service-oriented attitude, assertive communication, good interpersonal skills, organisation and self-management, planning skills, good technical writing and analytical skills, and ability to work in a multicultural team. Eligibility: Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
