The EJBM is a placement site for international volunteer teams within the (ESC). We regularly welcome groups of young people from all over the European Union (and beyond) to work on various projects. your chance for an unforgettable experience in Magdeburg Our educational centre’s activities focus on human rights, democracy and European education. In order to provide a full-circle educational experience, we intend to provide experiential education and leisure offers in accordance to our educational programmes. This ESC volunteering team will be collecting different options for experiential education and leisure offers, analyse them with respect to their suitability and develop action plans for their implementation. Furthermore, the ESC volunteers will have the opportunity to experience international youth work by supporting the implementation of our Erasmus+ YOUTH activities and to get in touch with the local community via supporting a local Christmas market.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at our facility. Since our facilities available to external groups all year long, the living arrangements can be subject to change. Food and accommodation are fully covered. Pocket money of 7 € per day will be provided. Travel budget is calculated based on distance: 10–99 km 28 EUR / Green Travel 56 EUR 100–499 km 211 EUR / Green Travel 285 EUR. 500–1999 km 309 EUR / Green Travel 417 EUR. 2000–2999 km 395 EUR / Green Travel 535 EUR. 3000–3999 km 580 EUR / Green Travel 785 EUR
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The project will include pedagogically guided opportunities for networking, reflection and team building. Volunteers will also benefit from the expertise and experience of our educational team, especially in the fields of human rights education, European education and democracy.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for volunteers interested in and/or experienced with human rights education, social campaigning and democracy work. We value a wide range of skills and qualities and would like to see participants who identify with at least one of the following: ✨ Creativity ✨ Dedication & eagerness ✨ Open-mindedness & curiosity ✨ Leadership & teamwork ✨ Problem-solving & initiative ✨ Adaptability & confidence English is the working language of the project. Knowledge of German is welcome but not required.
