Empowering Voices: A Youth Volunteering Journey in Portugal

The Intercultural Association for All (IAFA) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2013 in the city of Barcelos, Portugal. IAFA is dedicated to promoting international mobility, lifelong learning, and educational opportunities. Working with Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, it develops inclusive projects on human rights, equality, migration, climate change, and social entrepreneurship. Through these projects, it empowers young people and adults to develop intercultural skills, creativity, and active citizenship. Volunteers will engage in activities such as working with children with special needs, activities with elderly people, and supporting European projects.

Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης

Volunteers will stay in a private house located in the center of Barcelos, in rooms with one to three beds. The houses are fully equipped to provide a comfortable and safe experience (refrigerator, washing machine, furniture, bedding, cutlery). Travel tickets will be purchased by the sending organisation. Accommodation and catering will be provided by the host organisation and you will receive a pocket money

You will receive arrival training and pre-departure training. You will take Portugese classes

Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος

We have an open programme for 3 volunteers for short-term mobility in Portugal . Volunteer between 18-30 years old, - Legal resident in Turkey eligible to participate in the European Solidarity Programme, - No special certificate, diploma or professional experience required, - Proactive, spontaneous, open-minded and ready to face challenges, - Knowledge of youth and interest in international mobility,
