Description
The volunteer will support the programs team by contributing to the planning and coordination of program activities. He/she will help prepare project proposals for public and private funders, monitoring the management of existing grants (planning, reporting, meeting deadlines) and searching for new grant opportunities. He/she will contribute to monitoring plans and project calls, in the formulation of strategies for responding to calls and in the draft proposals (context, logical framework, narrative, budget). She /he will also contribute to the preparation of narrative reports, support the updating of grant monitoring tools (dashboards, timelines) and participate in the organization of project review meetings with the field teams.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
A monthly Subsistence Lump Sum will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and personal hygiene items. Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered.
Training during the activity
The Volunteer will attend online before and on-site induction at the arrival to her/his deployment Mission. Training during deployment will also be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences.
Participant profile
You hold a degree in International Relations, Cooperation, Development, Project Management or equivalent and experience (either internship, volunteering or employment) in proposal writing or grant management for NGOs or institutions. You will have good knowledge of humanitarian/international donors (Aecid, ECHO, AFD, Genval...), proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), analytical, writing, and synthesis skills and knowledge of project planning tools (logical framework, theory of change, etc.). Autonomy, rigor and ability to meet deadlines and interpersonal skills, good adaptability, strong interest in humanitarian and development contexts and a minimum of B1 level of French. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
