Green Skills 4 You(th) is a ESC team volunteering project that will take place in the picturesque village of Agros, Cyprus. This initiative brings together 13 young volunteers from across the EU to promote environmental sustainability through the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover. Set in the heart of the Troodos Mountains, Agros offers a unique setting where participants will engage with the local community, share eco-friendly practices from their home countries, and foster intercultural dialogue. The project aims to inspire a shift toward pro-environmental behavior in the region, encouraging residents to take active steps in protecting their natural surroundings. Through workshops, campaigns, and collaborative activities, Green Skills 4 You(th) will leave a lasting impact on both the volunteers and the vibrant community of Agros.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
All essential costs during the ESC project will be fully covered by the organizers. This includes food, accommodation, and international travel (based on the EU Distance Calculator). Volunteers will receive €6/day pocket money and benefit from complementary EHIC insurance throughout the project. Participants will be hosted in Agrospito Traditional Guest House in Agros village. All meals—breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus two daily coffee breaks—will be provided. As the hosting organization, we will also manage local transport, daytrips to ensure smooth mobility between activities and accommodation
Formação durante a atividade
During the projec, 13 young volunteers will spend three weeks in the mountainous region of Agros, situated at 1000 meters above sea level. Surrounded by nature, participants will hike the foothills of Mount Troodos, stay in campsites and forest lodges, and reconnect with the environment. They will become environmental educators, leading local workshops to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices. The project aims to combat the lack of environmental education by engaging both volunteers and the local community., providing green skills development ad a eco way of living.
Perfil do participante
We are seeking open-minded, nature-loving individuals who are excited to explore Cyprus and contribute meaningfully to the local community. Ideal participants are those who demonstrate high motivation, possess at least a basic level of English, and have a genuine passion for the environment. Volunteers should be eager to learn and grow, developing new skills and competencies that they can later share with others. A proactive attitude is essential, as participants will be involved in a variety of planned activities, workshops, and community engagements. Above all, we welcome young people who aspire to be active citizens, ready to make a positive impact both locally and beyond—regardless of their background.
