We coordinate volunteer and training programs both in Finland and abroad (ESC, Erasmus+, international volunteering). We are involved in community projects engaging youth and actions increasing awareness on environment, climate justice and diversity.The volunteer works with local and international partners, co-organises events and activities and acts as a group leader in summer. The volunteer communicates with young people related to different programs and exchanges through social media, school visits and fairs. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation in a shared apartment in Helsinki, the volunteer will have an own room. The location has public transportation connection to the office and city center. Volunteer will receive food money to buy groceries and cook food for themselves.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will attend residential on-arrival and mid-term trainings.
Participant profile
We look for a volunteer with interest in working with and for young people related to intercultural learning, environment, sustainability and diversity. The volunteer will co-organise events and act as a group leader, so interest towards these is seen as an asset. Previous experience in communication and trainings will be useful. We value sufficient level of English, self-initiative and positive attitude towards life. The volunteer will be a member of a small but active team of Allianssi Youth Exchanges consisting of about six persons. Allianssi Youth Exchanges is involved in several projects where the volunteer could assist, e.g. a project empowering European youth to make their voices heard, express their vision and raise awareness on climate justice issues. Project activities include workshops and campaigns. We will also run a volunteer project around Baltic Sea to enhance the importance of common action.In addition, the volunteer can organise events related to active citizenship and inclusion.
