Ready to take action for a more inclusive society? Join the European Solidarity Corps at la Ligue de l’enseignement de Normandie, a civic organization in France. You’ll support projects that fight discrimination and promote equality. Your mission: raise awareness among youth (11–17) on LGBTQIA+ issues, develop tools against racism, and lead activities challenging gender stereotypes. How? • Through workshops with young people • Debates • Creative events You’ll help build inclusive spaces and co-create educational resources! And you’ll work with committed professionals, bring your intercultural perspective, and foster dialogue. This is a unique opportunity to promote solidarity, gain experience, and make a real impact!
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
You will receive pocket and food money at the beginning of each month. Accomodation will be in a shared accommodation not far from transport facilities (train, tram) with a bus and tram card paid by the organization. You will have you own bedroom. With your flatmates, you will also be able to lead collective projects, designed to encourage meetings between residents and which help to strengthen social ties and support the dynamics of the neighborhood's residents.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will follow a starting seminar at the beginning of their projects with other ESC volunteers in France. They will have a second seminar in the middle of the project. These seminars are compulsory and organised by the French National Agency. Depending on your language level, you will be able to benefit from language workshops led by volunteers (ex-teachers), notably through mentoring but also by participating in European cafés with other volunteers, within the Normandy regional youth information center.

This volunteering opportunity is perfect for you if you're passionate about education, social justice, and intercultural exchange. You’ll take part in educational and awareness-raising activities with children and young people aged 6 to 17, focusing on solidarity, anti-discrimination, and gender equality. Your intercultural perspective is a strength — you don’t need to be fluent in French! You’ll be encouraged to take initiative and work independently, while being supported by the team. This mission offers a rich human experience, allowing you to develop skills in facilitation, project management, and civic engagement. You’ll discover the realities of French society, share your own culture, and contribute to promoting European values of diversity, inclusion, and mutual understanding.
