Description
We provide support to young refugees and asylum seekers in various aspects of their integration into society through a range of programs and activities. Some of our activities include social mentorship, career advising, assistance with active job searches, legal advice, digital education, and soft-skills workshops. We're looking for a volunteer who'll support us and our beneficiaries through communications-related activities. The person in this position will work on our social media pages, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, prepare communication for other channels, presentations and promo materials. The volunteer will also take photos and videos, work on fundraising and other smaller events, and establish contacts with potential stakeholders/funders.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Travel costs: covered according to EU distance calculator; Accommodation: In shared accommodation with 2 other volunteers (single room); Monthly allowance of around 500 eur (food and pocket money); Public transport tickets; Language support (basic language support through EU platform OLS and possibility to engage in a group course A1/A2 level); Health Insurance coverage and potential visa and residence permit costs coverage.
Training during the activity
The organization provides onboarding training for all the volunteers. On arrival and mid-term training will be provided by the Croatian National Agency. The supporting organization will organize pre-departure training for the volunteer. During the volunteering period, there might be other training opportunities through SALTO Youth, local opportunities or organized by the host organization.
Participant profile
We're looking for somebody who considers him/herself creative, has a passion for writing and creating visual content, communications and media (new and traditional); has previous experience or interest in photography and video creation; is a talkative and sociable person; is responsible for delivering tasks on time and is independent in their work. The previous interest in the field of communications and visual content through educational, working and/or volunteering experiences will be considered a plus. The previous experience in working with refugees is not that important but will be considered a plus if all other criteria are met.
