Help Desk YOUth aims to support youth for a harmonious personal and professional development, especially in terms of career guidance, increasing their socio-professional success. Young people will be supported to prepare their CVs, motivation letters, to prepare for an interview, support to look for different youth opportunities and apply. Volunteers will support the physical development of youth facilities of the future youth center “Horizons.” Their primary tasks will involve engaging in physical development and arrangement of the space, which includes assembling, organizing, and maintaining facilities, planting trees, arranging green spaces, etc. Also, volunteers will participate in preparation of materials for thematic workshops, activities, events, supporting facilitators who coordinate youth activities and working with the local community. NOTE: The volunteering opportunity is also addressed to young people in Romania.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Volunteers will be accommodated in double and triple bedrooms in Targoviste town with access to services nearby: supermarket, bus station, swimming pool, gym etc. Pocket money and food allowance will be given monthly. There are local public transports and a bus to the city of Bucharest. Volunteers will be able to reach the workplaces and main services by bike or on foot and transportation will be provided by the organizatioon for long-distance activities.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will receive pre-departure training which will be provided by support and hosting organization. At the start of the volunteering program the training will be continued with thematic sessions carried out by volunteer coordinator. The hosting organization will support volunteers with proper preparation to carry out the tasks, with mentoring and constant feedback. Lessons of local language will also be provided.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for motivated young people who wish to embark on a personal and professional growth experience within the Be You Association team, located in a small and quiet town. Volunteers should be open-minded, proactive, and motivated to learn and develop both personally and professionally. They should also be sociable and willing to relocate to a small town to support the host organization in its daily work with the local community. Good English skills (minimum B2 level) are required, as well as a willingness to learn the Romanian language. This project focuses on inclusion and is dedicated to volunteers who face various socio-economic, geographical, cultural, or other barriers.
