Opis
6-12 months In a picturesque little village in Prahova, a small team of dedicated youth workers gives their maximum to increase opportunities for young people. You can become part of their time by assisting in all the activities. They offer training in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths), social skills, creativity, cooking, sport and games and other valuable life skills. The youth center also offers a safe space for them to socialise after school and possesses the only Playstation in the area (a huge deal!). With their mobile youth center (a repurposed minibus) they reach youth in the most secluded areas. For example, one of the villages only very recently has been connected to water. At the same time Romanian 4G is the strongest in all of Europe!. These children thus grow up in a mix of tradition and modernity. Through the annual Rural Olympics, the organisation helps the kids be proud of their countryside skills.
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
You will share a typical rural home in the village with your fellow volunteers. If you have a driver's license, this is a big plus as it will allow you to transport yourself with the organisation's car. You'll get a food budget to do your own groceries and pocket money according to ESC protocol. The area is secluded but beautiful, perfect for calm hikes, appreciating nature and learning about local culture.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
You will be tutored to learn about youth work according to your learning objectives. You'll participate in the on arrival training and learn the language in full immersion.

- Good with children and teenagers or ready to learn - Willing to work hard in peak periods - Enjoys being in nature, can entertain themselves in secluded area - Team player - This opportunity is specifically for volunteers living in the Netherlands. We will not reply to applications from volunteers who do not meet this criteria.
