We’re looking for a curious, creative volunteer who enjoys filming, editing, experimenting with trends and finding fun, meaningful ways to show what youth work looks like in real life. RAA Youth Centre in Bucharest is a lively place where Romanian and international teenagers join workshops, creative sessions, community events and school activities. Your role will be to help us capture these moments and share the energy of the Youth Hub with the world. Find out more: https://raa.ro/en/ What you’ll actually do: • Join our daily activities to capture content (photos, videos, stories) • Create short videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels • Edit and colour-correct photos • Experiment with trends and come up with fresh ideas • Help manage our online community: respond to comments, share stories, keep the vibe alive • Work with the communication team to plan posts and draft an editorial calendar • Participate in trainings on video editing, storytelling and youth communication
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Volunteers will live in a shared 3-room apartment (3 volunteers/apartment - might be of same or different sex) in a safe area with easy access to public transport. They receive 300 EUR/month for food and 120 EUR/month as pocket money. RAA covers international travel to and from Bucharest, as well as local public transport during the volunteering period.
Formação durante a atividade
The volunteer will receive hands-on training from the RAA communication team on video editing, photography, content creation and youth-friendly communication. Depending on activities, the volunteer may also join short modules or longer training sessions on storytelling, working with young people and understanding the Youth Hub environment. Guidance and support are provided throughout the entire period.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for a volunteer who is curious, creative and comfortable working with social media. You don’t need to be a professional content creator, but you should enjoy filming, editing short videos, experimenting with trends and telling stories in an authentic way. An interest in Instagram, TikTok and youth-friendly communication is essential. The ideal volunteer likes being around young people, feels confident joining activities to capture moments and is open to learning by doing. Basic English is needed, and any additional language is a plus. We welcome volunteers who are open-minded, patient, willing to try new ideas and able to work as part of a friendly, multicultural team. No previous experience in NGOs is required — just motivation, curiosity and a positive attitude. About RAA: Romanian Angel Appeal (RAA) is a foundation with more than 30 years of experience in programmes dedicated to children, teenagers and vulnerable communities. Over the years, the organisation has implemented national and international projects in areas such as education, health, youth work and community support. One of the core spaces we run today is the Youth Hub in Bucharest, a friendly and inclusive centre where local and international young people participate in workshops, creative activities, language sessions, community events and Erasmus+ exchanges. The Youth Hub focuses on non-formal learning, wellbeing, creativity and building safe spaces where young people can express themselves freely.
