"Bridges of Culture" – a unique European Solidarity Corps volunteering experience in the heart of Cairo, Egypt. The European Solidarity Corps is all about bringing young people together to build a more inclusive society, support communities, and foster understanding across borders. This project embodies this spirit by creating a vibrant space for genuine intercultural dialogue and mutual learning. It designed to foster creativity, non formal education and mutual understanding between local Egyptian youth and international volunteers. You will serve as cultural ambassadors, engaging with the local community through interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and various creative cultural activities. The overarching goal is to collaboratively create environments where shared values, cultural differences, and relevant social challenges can be explored. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
A food allowance will be provided to cover your meal expenses throughout your stay. This gives you the flexibility to explore local eateries or prepare your own food. Acommodation will be provided offering single or double rooms and all needed kitchen supplies. Your local transport within Cairo for project activities will be covered. Insurance is provided within ESC program. Travel and pocket money will be covered according to ESC program guideliness.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
As a volunteer you will be engaged in Cultural Exchange Workshops, organizing and facilitating lively sessions where you'll share fascinating aspects of your home country's customs, music, basic language phrases, traditional games. You will be part of Community Stories Project: help to collect and co-curate "everyday stories" from local community members. These narratives will be creatively presented through small exhibitions, engaging social media posts, or intimate community events. Through this meaningful project you will expand your creativity by supporting the oranizational work.

● Communicative level of English. ● A genuine curiosity about and respect for diverse cultures. ● Openness and enthusiasm for engaging with local youth and community members. ● An interest in non-formal learning methodologies and cultural exchange initiatives. ● Motivation to contribute creatively to project activities and propose new ideas. ● Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability to new environments.
