EUth in Action

Youth Dynamics

Nicosia, Cyprus

Description

EUth in Action is a 20‑day ESC volunteering project taking place in the vibrant coastal city of Larnaka, Cyprus. The project brings together young people from across Europe to promote EU values, encourage active citizenship, and inspire communities through sports, environmental action, and intercultural exchange. Over the project of three weeks, volunteers will participate in a dynamic mix of activities designed to strengthen social inclusion, environmental awareness, and community engagement. Through sports events, workshops, creative campaigns, and hands‑on environmental actions, participants will explore how youth can shape a more united, greener, and healthier Europe. The project aims to empower young people to become ambassadors of solidarity, sustainability, and European identity, while experiencing the rich culture, history, and natural beauty of Cyprus.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

All essential costs during the ESC project are fully covered, including accommodation, meals and travel costs calculated through the EU Distance Calculator. Volunteers receive €7 per day pocket money and EHIC insurance. Participants stay at Journalistic village in Pervolia as well in Ayia Napa, with all meals and two daily coffee breaks provided. Local transport and day trips are arranged to ensure smooth mobility throughout the project. Our team will ensure smooth and safe mobility throughout the 20 days, allowing volunteers to focus on learning, contributing and enjoying their experience.

Training during the activity

Volunteers receive structured training throughout the project to ensure a meaningful and safe experience in Cyprus. The program begins with an on‑arrival orientation covering project goals, EU values, safety rules, solidarity, respect and team‑building. Participants join workshops on climate action, sports for inclusion, and active citizenship. Task‑specific guidance is provided for events and activities. A final reflection session supports learning and Youthpass preparation. They will become environmental educators, leading local workshops to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices.

Participant profile

We are looking for open‑minded, nature‑oriented young people who are excited to discover Cyprus and contribute meaningfully to the local community. Ideal volunteers show strong motivation, have at least basic English skills, and care deeply about the environment. Participants should be eager to learn, grow, and develop new competencies they can later share. A proactive mindset is important, as they will join diverse activities, workshops, and community actions. Above all, we welcome youth who want to be active citizens and create a positive impact—locally and beyond, regardless of background.
