Opis
The objective of this mission is to promote the social inclusion and participation of deaf and hard-of-hearing people with additional disabilities supported by IRSAM Clairefontaine. The volunteer will support the professional team of the day service by helping to organise and facilitate creative and recreational activities for residents attending the service. This includes creative workshops, art sessions, games sessions and other playful activities adapted to the participants. The volunteer will also contribute to the animation of the inclusive cafeteria by organising activities such as games, welcoming guest artists or musicians, and supporting social events. The volunteer will be encouraged to suggest new activities and contribute ideas to promote participation, interaction and well-being, while working closely with the professional team.
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
The volunteer will be accommodated in a private room on the top floor of the Chaumette building, located next to the Clairefontaine Institute in Lyon. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with another volunteer. Accommodation and food will be provided. The institute is only a 5-minute walk away. Shops are available nearby in the neighbourhood. Lunch can be taken at the workplace together with the professional team.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
Training in french, and french sign language.
Profil uczestnika
The profile of the volunteer should be comfortable with social interactions and have some experiences in the scope of disability and/or sensory impairment. As all our residents are deaf, the communication with the residents is in French sign language. A sensitivity to the world of deafness is a must. However, a basic training in LSF is possible. We would like to welcome a volunteer with adaptability, entrepreneurial skills, comfortable and enjoyable artistic and/or sports topics. An understanding and/or speaking French is a plus.
