The volunteer will support Friends of the Earth Malta’s communications and fundraising work, contributing to campaign visibility and organisational sustainability. Tasks include content creation, social media management, media outreach, event promotion, and fundraising research. The volunteer will work across FoEM’s campaigns, supporting storytelling, advocacy, and donor engagement. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteer will live in a shared apartment near FoEM’s offices, with accommodation and utility costs fully covered. A monthly allowance will be provided for food and personal expenses. Travel to and from Malta will be reimbursed according to ESC guidelines. Local transport related to volunteering activities will be supported. Private Henner insurance will be provided for the full duration of the volunteering period.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Training will be delivered through hands-on work with the communications team and mentoring from FoEM staff. The volunteer will develop skills in media writing, digital content creation, social media management, and basic fundraising processes. ESC on-arrival and mid-term trainings are included. The volunteer may also attend relevant workshops, media trainings, and networking activities within the Friends of the Earth network.
Teilnehmerprofil
The participant is a young person interested in communications, storytelling, media, or creative digital tools, and how these can support social and environmental change. They enjoy writing, content creation, or experimenting with visual and digital formats, and are motivated to learn how fundraising supports long-term activism. The participant is organised, creative, and open to feedback. Previous experience in communications or fundraising is welcome but not essential. A strong interest in environmental justice, teamwork, and inclusive communication is important.
