We are looking for two ESC volunteers to be hosted in Brattirò di Drapia, in the area of Vibo Valentia (Calabria, Southern Italy). The volunteers will support the association in its daily activities, taking part in language clubs and informal linguistic exchanges with the local community. They will also contribute to activities with children and young people with disabilities, supporting inclusive educational paths and social participation. Part of the volunteering experience will focus on communication activities, supporting both local and international communication and the promotion of European opportunities. Volunteers will also support a youth participation project (Civic Lab) aimed at encouraging active citizenship and community involvement among young people, together with other non-formal education activities and local initiatives.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteers will be hosted in a shared apartment or room. Food will be provided by the hosting organization. Transportation costs related to project activities will be covered. Pocket money will be provided according to ESC rules.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will receive training and support from the local staff upon arrival. They will also take part in the Arrival Training and Mid-term Evaluation organised by the Italian National Agency. An online Italian language course will be available.
Teilnehmerprofil
The project is open to volunteers from EU countries who are motivated to learn, contribute and grow through an experience in non-formal education, youth participation, social inclusion and community work. No previous experience is required, but openness, adaptability and willingness to engage with the local community are essential.
