Description

Project objectives: Involving young people into a meaningful voluntary work. Providing volunteers with opportunities for personal growth and competences development. Encouraging creative expression and intercultural dialogue within local community. Daily rutine in Youth center includes taking care of social media, creating content, leading the youth club, helping with preparation of public events. Visiting middle and high schools with presentations about volunteers country and the European solidarity corps programe. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in a well-equipped apartment in the city, where each volunteer has their own room, while the kitchen, bathroom and toilet are shared. The apartment is located just a 10-minute walk from the organization. Transport within the city is mainly on foot or by public transport. Volunteers can also borrow a bike or a kick scooter free of charge. There are frequent bus and train connections to other cities. Volunteers cook their own meals, and the project provides financial support to cover food expenses.

Training during the activity

Volunteers attend Czech lessons once or twice a week and use Online Linguistic Support (entry and final assessment). They take part in On-Arrival and Mid-Term training by the Czech National Agency and are informed about administrative, health and safety procedures and internal rules. Each volunteer creates a learning plan with the coordinator, receives a Youthpass Certificate, and can join leisure activities such as languages, arts, and sports.

strong motivation for work in chosen area (previous work with children is not necessary) • open minded, eager to work, interested in animation activities and workshops preparations • active, flexible, creative, responsible approach • good communication skills, ready for team work • without substance abuse or criminal history • participants with lower opportunities (social, cultural, geographical disadvantage, foster home, learning difficulties, unemployed graduates) • young people who are looking for a change in their lives, ready for new experience
