„Cu toate țiglele pe casă” - A Multisensory Exhibition

Asociatia „Grup de Actiune Locala Banat-Vest”

Jimbolia, Rumänien

Beschreibung

„Cu toate țiglele pe casă” - A Multisensory Exhibition is a European Solidarity Corps short-term volunteering project that brings together 20 international volunteers to create a large-scale cultural exhibition in Jimbolia, a small town in western Romania with a strong ceramic and industrial heritage. The exhibition explores how clay, fire and human labor shaped the town’s identity, architecture and community life. It is designed as an immersive experience where visitors are invited to see, touch, hear and physically experience the processes behind ceramic production. Volunteers are directly involved in building the exhibition from scratch. Their work contributes to a public cultural space that will remain open to visitors after the project ends. The exhibition will be hosted at the House of Culture of Jimbolia and will officially open to the public on 24 July 2026.

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

Volunteers will be accommodated in a school dormitory in Jimbolia. Accommodation is shared, with basic but comfortable living conditions suitable for group life. The dormitory includes access to common spaces and a kitchen, as well as free Wi-Fi. The project is funded by the European Solidarity Corps. Volunteers receive: Pocket money (4 EUROS/day); Food allowance (5 EUROS/day); Travel cost reimbursement according to ESC distance bands; Health insurance provided through the ESC programme.

Teilnehmerprofil

The project is open to young people aged between 18 and 30 who are motivated to take part in a hands-on cultural project. Volunteers should be open-minded, flexible and willing to work as part of an international team. A minimum intermediate level of English is required, as English will be the working language of the group and will be used for coordination, teamwork and interaction with visitors. An interest in culture, heritage, manual work or community activities is highly appreciated, but no specific previous experience is necessary.
