Step into a rural learning space in Mány, Hungary, where a nature-based kindergarten and community farm are growing through collective effort. Here, your work has direct, visible impact: you help shape an environment where children learn from the land, animals are cared for responsibly, and sustainability is practiced daily. Your tasks include expanding a seedling greenhouse, supporting interior work in a mobile house, landscaping and developing garden areas, and caring daily for goats and donkeys. Please note that this program does NOT involve direct work with children. Through this work you gain practical skills in building with wood and cob, gardening and animal care, learn safe tool use, and experience how a community-based initiative operates. Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Volunteers stay in shared rooms in the attic of the community house in Mány. Mattresses are provided; please bring your own sleeping bag and a pillow if you need one. Indoor showers and toilets, drinkable tap water and washing machine are available in the house. Lunch is provided on working days by the farm kindergarten. Breakfast and dinner are prepared together by the group using provided ingredients. You can reach Mány with direct regional buses from Budapest.
Formação durante a atividade
Volunteers gain practical experience in eco-building using wood and cob, landscaping and basic construction, as well as daily animal care. You learn safe tool use, garden planning basics and how a small community farm operates. Working in an international team strengthens communication, cooperation and problem-solving skills, while building confidence through visible, hands-on results.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for motivated young people who are ready to work outdoors. You don’t need to have previous experience, just a willingness to try practical tasks like gardening, simple construction and caring for animals. If you’re interested in eco-construction, nature-based learning or community life, you like animals and you enjoy working in a team, you’ll feel at home here.
