Opis
Project at IB Polska is based on working at the non-governmental organisation office and supporting projects for the local community as well as ESC projects. Volunteer's tasks: - preparing and running language classes (English or volunteer's native tongue) for the local community (teenagers and adults) in Nowa Huta (part of Krakow) - assisting during meetings and workshops prepared for local communities - helping with preparing the space, materials, places for participants - promoting the idea of volunteering at schools, during local events - preparing articles for the volunteers' blog about the projects with IB Polska - togehter with the rest of the ESC team of hosted volunteers - supporting IB Polska team with everyday tasks in the office - participating in workshops, festivals for youth, trainings for students - also preparing the content and materials for small activities
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
Volunteer will be placed in the flat that IB Polska rent for volunteers in different parts of the city of Krakow. Rooms are mainly double, so volunteers need to be ready to share the space with other person. Each flat has the common kitchen and bathroom. All of them are located in the nice neighbourhood, with geen areas and small shops around as well as good public transport. Volunteers get pocket money (6€ per day) and food allowance every month to the bank account. Travel costs are reimbursed accordingly to the travel costs given by EU. Volunteer has to provide the criminal record.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
Volunteer will participate in the preparation meeting organised by the Sending Organisation from the volunteer’s country of origin. After coming to Krakow, the Hosting Organisation will provide volunteer with the internal training based on the rules in the project, office and Krakow. Every month volunteer will participate in the meeting for all ESC volunteers and individual meetings. Volunteer will participated in on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation meeting organised by the Polish National Agency.
Profil uczestnika
We are searching for the person between 18 and 30 years old. Sex, nationality, religion and gender doesn’t matter. The most valuable are: openess to experience new cultures and to learn new things, readiness to share the culture and traditon of the volunteer’s country, creativity, sharing and developing own ideas, responsibility and flexibility. Communicative English in the office is required, because volunteer will work mostly in English contacting different people inside and outside our organisation. Because of the new rules in ESC programme since 2025, we are looking mostly for the person from EU countries.
