Stranaidea offers services to different kind of users in need and we are looking for 9 volunteers in the following areas: - DISABILITY: activities in daily centers doing artistic, sport, musical, theatrical workshops, handmaking production, outdoor activities in the local territory; - MINORS: activities in a daily center with teenagers with social disadvantage and mental issues; - HOMELESS and vulnerable ADULTS: daily activities like gardening, cooking, bikes repair; - REFUGEES and ASYLUM SEEKERS: services to support their basic needs and social accompaniment; - SOCIAL and COMMUNITY THEATRE with people with disability and local communities; - ESC promotion and communication. We look for candidates available to volunteer with all our target groups from the 1st of September 2026 (arrival day) for 10 months until the 30th of June 2027.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The project offers: + travel costs to arrive to Turin and return at the end of the project; + food allowance; + public transport monthly card; + monthly allowance; + health insurance; + online linguistic support. + Accommodation: 9 volunteers share a big flat in Torino with 4 double rooms and 1 single bedroom, a kitchen, a living room, three bathrooms, two balconies and a terrace.
Formação durante a atividade
The volunteers will learn by doing in all the services, getting from tutors and workers a practical knowledge about the users, their characteristics, abilities and needs; they will observe our educational work and methods. They will be part of a group of volunteers with whom will meet regulary with the mentor who propose activities to share their own experiences and carry out trainings about different topics such as communication, conflict management, intercultural education and problem solving. Perfil do participante
The candidate has to be motivated to make an experience in the social field. Along the service period, volunteers will create a personal project also expressing the preferences among the proposed areas. Profile: Be motivated to establish a positive human relationship with our users, open minded and flexible to changes. Be active, curious, willing to bring own culture to the users. Available for the all period and seriousness to take this commitment.
