Gaia brings together youth from Europe, Ukraine, and beyond to support marginalized communities and promote sustainable living, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. The project focuses on three main areas: environmental education, social inclusion, and youth development. This year, the first Volunteering Teams will take place in Bulgaria where participants will join workshops, volunteer activities, and community projects alongside local youth, including marginalized groups like Roma communities in Dzhurovo. Here, you can develop skills, create local initiatives, and see the direct impact of your actions on the community. Gaia is your chance to learn, take action, and inspire. Gain international experience, make new friends, and get tools for personal growth that you can bring back home or use in future projects!
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The accommodation/facilities include: • shared bedrooms with essential furniture & bedsheets, etc.; • huge outdoor space with hammocks and barbecue area; • kitchen area and living room space suitable for meetings & chilling; • available 7 sits car for local trips and shopping; • Dzhurovo village, a river and nature in the surrounding area. The travel cost will be covered from your home town to the venue of the activity and back.

You will be supported by two facilitators and Synergy Bulgaria Team.
Perfil do participante
We are offering this opportunity to 15 participants legally residing in European Solidarity Corps Programme countries who DO NOT require a visa for a 30-day stay in Bulgaria. You must not have participated in over 11 months of EVS/ESC volunteering programs in the past. There are several requirements from the programme itself and profile that we would like to focus on: • 18-30 years old (not older than 31 on July 24). • Enthusiastic about hands-on activities. • Eager to take initiative and create opportunities for themselves and others. • Ready to live in a rural environment in Bulgaria with basic conditions for 4 weeks. • Ready to be challenged to align with people from different cultures and create a joyful, supportive community. • People with the idea of a personal project/initiative/learning goal. • Priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities.
