Culture Exchange Above the Clouds: Call for Volunteers in Eklezja Foundation
Stowarzyszenie "Europa Iuvenis"
Fundacja Eklezja
Bukowina Tatrzańska, Polónia
Descrição
Join an inspiring volunteering project in the adorable village of Bukowina Tatrzańska, located near the breathtaking Tatra Mountains and Zakopane. This unique place combines the advantages of a tourist resort with the charm of a small highland village, where you can discover local traditions, walking routes, and thermal baths. Working for the Eklezja Foundation, you will focus on civic engagement and youth development. Your tasks will cover several exciting areas: leading intercultural workshops about your culture for local children, supporting schools in language and creativity projects, and engaging in ECO activities like maintaining tourist trails with the national park services. You will also collaborate with the local scout center to organize events for youth. This opportunity combines cultural exchange and environmental activities in one of Poland's most scenic regions. If these areas and the mountains spark your interest – reach out to us!
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
We’ve got you covered so you can focus on the experience. You’ll stay in a comfortable double room with the second volunteer (same sex), right in the heart of the mountains. To keep you going, we provide €180 in monthly pocket money plus an additional 700 PLN for your food and expenses. You’ll work up to 6 hours a day, leaving you plenty of time to explore the region or hit the local thermal baths. We also handle your travel costs to and from the project (Max amount for two ways according to the EU distance calculator).
Formação durante a atividade
You will join official on arrival training organized by the National Agency, where you’ll meet a whole crew of other international volunteers from across Poland!
Perfil do participante
We are looking for motivated volunteers aged 18-30 for a three-month experience in the heart of the mountains. While Polish is not required, at least B2 level of English is essential as you will be leading workshops and activities for local children and youth. Our ideal candidate feels comfortable interacting with local communities and is ready to embrace life in a smaller mountain village. This setting may not offer big-city amenities, but it is a paradise for nature lovers who are eager to step out of their comfort zone. We value proactive individuals who take initiative, cooperate well with others, and bring a creative spark to organizing activities. Since this is a cultural exchange, you should be interested in sharing your own heritage while learning about Polish traditions. We are looking for someone resourceful, for whom challenges such as getting to nearby towns by bus will not be a challenge, but an adventure. While specific skills in teaching, leading workshops, or environmental work are a plus, they are not mandatory. People who have experience in scouting will also feel comfortable with us. We care more about your flexibility, positive attitude, and respect for diversity. Overall, we aren't looking for a "perfect" candidate, but rather someone curious and ready to get involved in meaningful social and educational work. If you are resourceful, communicative, and ready for a variety of tasks, we want to hear from you!
