Opis
Waldorf School of Kaunas is a community-based school and kindergarten guided by the principles of Waldorf education. Located in Kaunas, the second-largest city in Lithuania, the school offers volunteers the opportunity to work closely with children, teachers, and the wider community. Volunteers make an important contribution to language lessons, kindergarten activities, and after-school programmes. It is especially valued when volunteers also offer after-school activities based on their own interests and skills, such as their native language, sports, or other creative and practical activities.
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
Two volunteers will live together in a fully equipped two-bedroom flat just next to the school. They will receive food money. Lunches are available in the school dining hall for really good price. Bicycles will be provided for local transportation.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
There will be On arrival training organised by National Agency. Once a month we will have volunteers meeting with the coordinating organization to discuss the projects, any problems and some nice trips occasionally.
Profil uczestnika
We are looking for a motivated, positive, and outgoing volunteer who loves working with children and is interested in alternative education. You should feel comfortable communicating with teachers, experimenting with new ideas, and stepping into new experiences with curiosity and confidence. German language skills would be a strong plus, as some of our children would greatly benefit from your help.
