Maarja Küla is a heartwarming community in South Estonia, where adults with intellectual disabilities live, work, and grow together. Since 2004, they’ve welcomed volunteers from 15+ countries — and now, it’s your turn! You will: Create and lead arts, crafts, music & sports activities Support daily workshops (wood, clay, gardening, art…) Assist caregivers and prepare materials for activities Spend meaningful time with residents — play games, share your culture, enjoy the moment This project offers not only a unique living experience in a international setting, but also the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. No special skills needed — just your open heart, patience, and curiosity to live in a unique rural community. Volunteering duration: September 2026 until June 2027 (10 months). Dates are flexible. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

Volunteer will live in a shared apartment with other volunteers in Maarja Village equipped with everything necessary for living, including kitchen and sleeping equipment. Volunteer will be provided with monthly pocket and food money. Transportation costs necessary for work (including travelling to Estonia and back) are covered by coordinating organisation.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

Volunteer will receive on-arrival and mid-term training organised by Estonian National Agency. Other necessary training for work related skills is provided to the volunteer on-site.

Teilnehmerprofil

Ideal participant is committed to the project, open-minded and good team member. We also value positivity, flexibility and willingness to learn. Basic English is necessary.
