Rural volunteering work at the youth, sports and culture office of Ranua, operated through youth house Monkkari2.0 (introduction video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as6Z4-JL1U0). Most of the working hours are spend at the youth house during open evenings & events. Main focus of youth house is to have a place for the youngsters where they can come to spend time and make new friends. We are searching for volunteer who could start in August 2026, and can stay at least 6 months, but preferably 12 months, to the end of June 2027. Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Volunteer will be accommodating in an old school building, which is located 1,5 kilometers from the center of the village. Building includes everything you need for living, like own kitchen, laundry machines and shower. There's a lunch offered at local school every working day during school lunch times. In addition to that, volunteer will be offered a food allowance to do groceries and prepare meals by themselves.
Formação durante a atividade
There will an on arrival training 22.-27.9. held in Kokkola at the International Youth Centre Villa Elba. On arrival training aims to empower and support young volunteers to achieve as much as possible in the time of their volunteering service. There's also an online language support course, where the volunteer can study either Finnish or English.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for volunteer who is... - social, outgoing and easy to approach! - willing to work and play with kids and youngsters - responsible, always finishes the given tasks - open-minded, creativity appreciated to break through the language borders - represents Ranua youth workers in front of local partners, kids and youngsters - flexible, since there can be sudden changes to schedules - motivated to do all kinds of working tasks - able to follow schedules, since it is important to be on time when there is a certain timetable - has positive energy - has a survivor attitude towards the rural circumstances and location :)
