Join Graulhet's MJC and take part in the everyday life of the Youth center. The volunteer will join the team of animators from the Youth center and will be supported and encouraged to provide activities on ecological transition, among other subjects of his.her choice. The volunteer will also be a European ambassador among the Youth Information point of the MJC and support the animator through her workshops and activities to share his.her mobility experience and mobility opportunities.
The volunteer will support the team and members of the MJC by : -participating actively in the leisure center and Youth information -proposing activities to raise ecological awareness among young people (11/17 years old) -reflecting on low tech, reduce and reuse of wastes in the fablab -participating in the organisation of cultural events (meeting artists, ecological awarness, communication, poster, catering...) Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in a furnished apartment located in Albi (next to Ste Cecile Cathedral!) shared with 3 other volunteers (2 single room and 1 shared room). For daily journeys, volunteers use the "Lio" bus network, or when needed a car is provided for them. There is also a train station in Albi. Using the “pocket money” and “organizational support” packages as a basis, each volunteer will receive 500€ every month to cover the costs of food, pocket money and gas if needed. Training during the activity
- Arrival seminar in the 3 first months by the NA -Once every 2 weeks meeting with tutor from the host organistion to provide personal and professional support, facilitating communication between volunteers and the team -Once a month gathering with volunteers among the coordinating organisation for support, team building and discover surroundings -French lesson through OLS and with a French teacher once a week on school weeks -Great joyfull team !
Participant profile
To ensure your well-being in the activities and in the area, it would be best for you is you had : - Interest in environmental issues, - Driving licence, - Strong motivation to be around youngsters, especially teenagers, - Willing to work with a teenagers daily, - Additional skills in art, culture or digital field, - Enthusiasm to work with the youth and to provide pedagogical activities, - Motivation to develop and set new projects.
