The volunteer sent by ASPEm will support ASPEm in social activities related to the environment and the reduction of risks associated with climate change, carried out in collaboration with Asociación ARMONÍA, which focuses on wildlife and habitat conservation in coordination with local communities, and with Agua Sustentable, dedicated to promoting the sustainable management of water and the environment. The activities will take place in Tiquipaya and Quillacollo. The volunteer will provide logistical, technical, and practical support in the following tasks: communication management and creation of content for social media; support in organizing training workshops; drafting manuals; participation in reforestation activities during the rainy season; preparation of reports and collection of materials and results for dissemination at community and local events. A commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week is expected (excluding travel time).

The accommodation is in Cochabamba, where ASPEm’s local office is based. The city offers a variety of activities, courses and services, as well as shops, pharmacies, banks and restaurants (including some vegetarian and vegan options). The house is shared with other volunteers; each one has a private room. Basic utilities (water, gas, electricity and internet) are included. The house has good access to safe and affordable public transportation to reach Tiquipaya and Quillacollo, where activities will take place (about 30-45 minutes from the city centre and 15 minutes from the ASPEm's office).
Formação durante a atividade
A pre-departure training with ASPEm (in Italy or Spain) is provided. During the volunteering period, there are opportunities for exchange among volunteers and learning spaces aimed at strengthening competencies and providing tools for both performance and well-being. The training focuses on developing communication and content creation skills, teamwork, language competencies, and practical reflection on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity protection, and water sustainability. All acquired competencies will be certified through Youthpass.
Perfil do participante
The ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates adaptability and respect for different cultures, along with empathy, solidarity, patience, and commitment. Experience in communication and knowledge of environmental issues are important, as well as the ability to manage public social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. A proactive, creative, and innovative attitude is valued, together with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team. Knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset. Eligibility: Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
