We are looking for a long-term volunteering at www.straze.de. Please read this description in full and check out the mentioned websites for details. Unfortunately, because the project shall start in September, only candidates who do not need a visa can apply. The mobility will be in Greifswald, Germany, in our colourful socio-cultural house that we call "STRAZE". You will spend your volunteering time with the house's culture group. Possible tasks are the organization of and help with a great variety of cultural events (e.g. movie evenings, exhibitions, concerts), public relations work (social media, website, print products). Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Accommodation is in a single room in a flat shared with other (international) volunteers. You will receive food allowance each month and are responsible for your meals yourself. It is possible to borrow a bicycle for the duration of your mobility (a deposit must be paid). For the duration of your volunteer service, you will be provided with a Deutschlandticket for use on buses and trains
Formação durante a atividade
You will have to participate in two seminar weeks organized by the German national agency: the on arrival training and midterm evaluation. Both take place somewhere in Germany, together with other ESC volunteers. Moreover, we - the volunteering initiative Turbina Pomerania - organize additional seminar in Greifswald and the surrounding region for local and international volunteers. You are obliged to participate in these seminars (20 days in total), too.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for you if you are passionate about culture and sustainable development. We are not perfect, so you don't have to be perfect either. It is most important that you are willing to dive into a self-organized, sometimes stressful, at times chaotic, but always team- and solution-oriented, diverse and hierarchy-free team in a colourful house full of opportunities. All our activities combine that we are thriving to create an open space for people and ideas, changing the world towards the better.
