Description

“Social Inclusion for People with Disabilities” is a project within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), through which the Center for Youth Activism KRIK engages international volunteers in activities focused on supporting and socially including young people and adults with disabilities. The project is implemented through work in residential units and the Occupational Therapy Center, where volunteers actively participate in daily activities and creative processes, with the aim of encouraging independence, personal development, and the active participation of beneficiaries in the local community. Through intercultural exchange, non-formal education, and joint activities, the project creates space for building solidarity, empathy, and equal opportunities for all.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Travel Costs • Travel costs are covered in accordance with ESC programme rules Pocket Money and Food • Volunteers receive monthly pocket money and food support in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme Accommodation • Accommodation and utility costs are provided by Center KRIK • Volunteers will be accommodated in the Municipality of Kisela Voda, Skopje

Training during the activity

Introductory Trainings Volunteers will undergo introductory training covering: • Working in an inclusive environment • Introduction to Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) • Basics of non-formal education and teamwork • Individualized approaches when working with people with disabilities Monitoring and Mentorship • Volunteers will receive continuous support from a coordinator and mentor • Their learning process and personal development will be monitored • Regular meetings for evaluation and support will be organized

Participant profile

Previous professional experience working with people with disabilities is not required — full support and training will be provided by the organization. Requirements: • Strong motivation to work with and support people with disabilities • Openness to teamwork and intercultural learning • Interest in youth work, creative activities, and non-formal education Additionally considered an advantage: • Experience in youth work • Creative and artistic skills • Experience with non-formal educational methods
