"A Two-Way Journey" is a high-priority volunteer project with a focus on the sustainable socio-economic integration of Ukrainian women and children in Ankara, Türkiye. Given the high number of women and children within the community and the significant challenges they face, this initiative is designed to respond to urgent social needs while promoting community cohesion and resilience.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
Volunteers will be accommodated in a private dormitory in Ankara. Rooms will be shared by a maximum of three volunteers, and separate dormitory arrangements will be provided for female and male volunteers. Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the dormitory. On working days, lunch will be provided at the association office. On days off, lunch payments will be provided to the volunteers. Travel tickets will be purchased by the hosting organisation.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
We are looking for volunteers aged between 18 and 30, in line with the European Solidarity Corps programme requirements. Participants should be able to communicate in English at a basic level; fluency is not required, but volunteers should be able to understand and express themselves in daily project communication. The ideal participants are open-minded, responsible, motivated, and willing to work in an international team with people from different backgrounds. They should be interested in social work, community engagement, and supporting Ukrainian women and children in their integration process. Volunteers should be ready to take part in educational, cultural, social, and awareness-raising activities, as well as office-related tasks such as preparing content, supporting events, and contributing to the project’s communication activities. Previous experience is not required, but motivation, flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are essential.
