Ambassador of Europe and Mobility - L'Iliade Château-Gontier 26/27

The volunteer will prepare events about the European Union, different languages and cultures for young people aged 16-30 living in Habitat Jeunes Château-Gontier-surMayenne. He/she may be required to organise activities at lunchtime for users of restaurant and at other residences in Senonnes, Segré and Le-Lion-d'Angers. As part of these activities the association is keen to promote the environment, the digital transition, the fight against discrimination, democracy, the inclusion of people with disabilities, the concepts of commitment and citizenship, culture in the broadest sense, health and sport. In addition, the volunteer will act as an ambassador of international mobility and other programmes. Each year, Habitat Jeunes organise a 4-day trip to the European capital, where he/she can share his/her experience of being an European citizen. The volunteer will work with a socio-educational team to develop the European projects. He/she will also work on communication tasks.

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

Volunteer will receive pocket and food money at the beginning of each month. Accommodation will be in the same dormitory called Habitat Jeunes "Iliade". He/she will be hosted in a fully equipped apartment by sharing it with a student or an assistant. He/she is having a private room. Volunteer have the possibility to cook in the apartments or to eat in the canteen of Habitat Jeunes. Every evening Habitat Jeunes dormitory offers animations for the inhabitants (sport evenings, cultural evening, games etc.) Transportation from home country to Laval and return will be paid up.

Formação durante a atividade

National Agency in France proposes an arrival training and a mid-term training with other volunteers. At your arrival, you will get a training with the House of Europe to get all the necessary information to put in place animations about Europe and you will have a tutor to guide you through your project.

- Interest in organising events and working with young people (aged 16-30); - Convinced by the European Union project and interested in European affairs; - Interested in promoting the EU, interculturality and diversity; - Interested in promoting European priorities such as the environment, the digital transition, the fight against discrimination and democracy; - Team player; - Open-minded and curious; - Beginner's level of French; - Motivated to work in a multicultural environment; - Interested in the social sector and the inclusion of young people with disabilities.
